Weatherlight Compleated
Oracle Text
Flying
As long as Weatherlight Compleated has four or more phyresis counters on it, it's a Phyrexian creature in addition to its other types.
Whenever a creature you control dies, put a phyresis counter on Weatherlight Compleated. Then draw a card if it has seven or more phyresis counters on it. If it doesn't, scry 1.
Card Details
Mana CostCharacter Background
Weatherlight Compleated is a mythic pivot piece for value and grindy sacrifice strategies, rewarding you for turning inevitable creature deaths into card selection now and raw cards later. In Dominaria United, it reads like a corrupted heir to a legendary vessel: a flying 5/5 that slowly becomes more Phyrexian as the battlefield empties around it. The first few deaths only scry, which makes it excellent in control or midrange shells that want to smooth draws while trading resources, but once it reaches seven phyresis counters it starts refueling your hand outright. It shines with cheap token makers, recursive creatures, and sacrifice outlets such as Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia or Persistent Specimen-style effects, since those let you bank counters without overcommitting. Because it’s already a Vehicle, it dodges some creature removal until it animates, making it a resilient top-end threat that converts board attrition into inevitability.
