Character Background
Liliana, Dreadhorde General is a quintessential control-and-value planeswalker, turning every fallen creature into fresh cards while steadily snowballing board presence. Her static ability rewards sacrifice-heavy builds, aristocrats shells, and token decks, since even your expendable creatures replace themselves on death and help you outpace removal and sweepers. The +1 makes a 2/2 Zombie each turn, which both protects her loyalty and gives you bodies to feed sacrifice outlets or pressure planeswalkers and life totals. The −4 is a brutal stabilization tool, often one-sided in decks that lean on tokens, recursion, or creatures you’re happy to lose, and it pairs especially well with cards that can recur your own threats after the wipe. In the late game, the −9 can lock up a board by stripping opponents down to a single permanent of each type, embodying Liliana’s grim, attrition-based dominance.
