Card Details
Mana CostCharacter Background
Jester’s Mask is a classic Ice Age control tool, weaponizing disruption through information denial and hand-size manipulation rather than raw efficiency. At five mana and entering tapped, it is slow, so it best fits grindy control or prison-style decks that can protect the board while setting up a decisive tempo swing. Activating it strips an opponent of their current hand, then replaces those cards with a fresh random draw from their library, which can break up carefully assembled combo pieces, reset a sculpted control hand, or force an aggro player to redraw less threatening cards. It pairs especially well with effects that make opponents keep large hands or with repeatable discard that empties their hand first, since the search is based on how many cards they hold. In practice, the Mask shines when you can exploit the chaos better than your opponent, turning a costly artifact into a surgical hand reset.
