Power-up — {C}{W}{U}{B}{R}{G}: Put two +1/+1 counters on Thanos. Choose odd or even. Destroy each other creature with mana value of the chosen quality. (Activate each power-up ability only once. Reduce the cost by his mana cost if he entered this turn. Zero is even.)
Card Details
Mana CostCharacter Background
Thanos, the Mad Titan reads like a five-color inevitability engine wrapped in a removal spell, and his best home is a control or midrange-value shell that can stabilize early and then sweep the board on demand. Deathtouch and lifelink make him excellent at racing, since he threatens trades with anything and recoups life while attacking, while the power-up ability lets you choose odd or even to selectively wipe away swarms of the other half of the curve. That makes deckbuilding around mana-value bands especially attractive: lean into a spread of 2s and 4s, or build your own board with mostly odd-cost threats so Thanos clears opposing evens while sparing your team. Because the activation costs all five colors plus colorless, fixing matters a lot, so prioritize treasure makers, triomes, and ramp that can cast him early and then immediately unlock the discounted activation the turn he enters.
