Card Details
Mana CostCharacter Background
Wish is a classic red “silver bullet” tutor-in-spirit that turns sideboard or outside-game cards into immediate answers, threats, or combo pieces for one crucial turn. In practice, it best supports combo and toolbox midrange shells, where flexibility matters more than raw efficiency: a single Wish can fetch the exact effect you need, whether that’s removal, a finisher, or a missing engine piece. Because it costs {2}{R} and only grants access for the turn, you want your deck to be built with cheap, impactful targets you can actually cast right away. Strong synergies include burn decks that need situational reach, or storm/combo lists that use Wish to find a combo enabler without diluting the main deck. If your format or event allows sideboards as your “wishboard,” curate it carefully with one-of answers and alternate win conditions to maximize this card’s adaptability.
