Character Background

Bumi, Eclectic Earthbender is a powerful value engine for a green deck that wants to turn lands into real threats and keep snowballing pressure every combat. A 4/4 for five is already respectable, but his entrance earthbend gives immediate board presence by animating a land with haste, and his attack trigger turns every land creature you control into a rapidly growing attacker. That makes him especially strong in midrange or go-wide land-creature shells, where you can attack early and often while still advancing your mana base. Pair him with effects that untap lands, protect creatures, or generate extra lands, since each animated land effectively becomes both ramp and a body. He also fits well with recursion and token-style land synergies, because losing the land creature only sends it back tapped rather than gone for good. Bumi rewards aggressive sequencing and board development, making ordinary lands feel like an advancing front line.
