Card Details
Mana CostCharacter Background
Whitemane Lion is a deceptively efficient flash Cat that shines in tempo and value shells, especially white-based blink or creature-combo decks. At two mana, a 2/2 flash body lets you represent interaction, ambush an attacker, or simply add pressure at the end of an opponent’s turn. Its real strength is the enters-the-battlefield bounce: you can save a creature from removal, reset a useful ETB trigger, or reuse a creature with a cast-trigger if your deck supports it. In Dominaria Remastered, it fits naturally beside creatures like Thraben Inspector, Wall of Omens, or Flickerwisp-style effects, where replaying value matters more than raw stats. It also pairs well with sacrifice outlets and tokens, since bouncing a disposable creature often turns the Lion into pure upside. The card rewards careful sequencing, and in the right shell it functions less like a simple bear and more like a flexible tempo tool that keeps your board alive while keeping mana open.
